YCS Houston results
The Advanced event at Houston's Reliant Center drew 1,074 duelists.
- Champion: Trevor Lee Parker, playing Light and Darkness Ritual (Azamina Dark Magician)
- Runner-up: Blake Funderburke, playing Elfnote (Ars Magna)
- Top 4: Steven Trifunoski (Elfnote) and Jamie Hunter (Angelechy)
The Top 8 was made up of Light and Darkness Ritual, Elfnote and Angelechy decks. These results are reported by YGOPRODeck.
Beyond the Brave is already making an impact
Beyond the Brave, a core booster released on October 9, 2026, introduced Ars Magna and new Angelechy support, both of which showed up in the top decks. It has 100 cards, with 9 cards per pack and 24 packs per box. A brand-new set showing up all over a YCS top cut usually means more demand for its singles. Next up on the release calendar is Magnificent Maestros on November 13.
Why it matters
With 34 cards forbidden in one update, a lot of decks need rebuilding right now. If your deck lost key pieces, it's a good time to trade in cards that are no longer legal for what's winning.
